The Tejas is a single-engine, tailless delta-wing fighter developed by ADA and HAL, built largely from composites and fitted with a modern AESA radar in its Mk1A form. It carries a broad mix of Indian and imported air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons.
A larger, more powerful Mk2 is in development, alongside a naval variant, positioning the family to replace the Air Force's ageing MiG fleets over the coming decade.
