Built at Cochin Shipyard, Vikrant is the largest warship ever constructed in India. Roughly 262 metres long, she operates MiG-29K fighters and a mix of helicopters from a STOBAR flight deck, with the indigenous TEDBF and naval LCA intended to follow.
Her commissioning made India one of a small group of nations able to design and build a carrier domestically, validating a vast ecosystem of indigenous steel, systems, and shipbuilding skill.
